Community Television has developed links with many education and cultural organisations over the years and there is so potential for much more.
This event will look at past projects and possibilities for future collaborations.
If you have an interest in third level or adult education or are involved in a cultural organisation please come along to find out about the possibilities of working with community television.
When? Tuesday June 13th, 10:30 – 4pm
10:30am with ‘registration’ and tea and coffee. Lunch included 1-2pm
Where? It will take place in the Pearse St Public library, Dublin 2

Dr Eddie Brennan from the School of Media in Dublin Institute of Technology and
Kevin White, Head of TV Production and assistant principal, Colaiste Dhulaigh
- real life training opportunities for students on productions, and archiving
- a showcasing space for students
- an experimental place for 3rd level work,
- the potential for networking at national and European level with the C&V and NGO sectors and research about community television.
After the session there’ll be a Q & A and we will have round table on recommendations for future cooperation.
DCTV and culture (afternoon) 2pm
Speakers
Susan Jackson, ‘Ignite’ producer, will discuss her work on documenting the award winning arts and disability project Silent Moves.
Padraig Naughton, director of Arts & Disability Ireland, will talk about their part as a supporters of the project.
After the session there’ll be a Q & A and we will have round table on recommendations for future cooperation.
