Following a consultation two weeks ago with some of the attendees at our open days DCTV has developed a short studio operator training course for individuals and groups who want to use the DCTV studio for their projects.

The studio is designed for ease of use – you don’t need any previous television or film experience to use it. This 3 session course will explain how to turn everything on, how to troubleshoot the key pieces of equipment and how to record a basic show. It will also explain the rules for using the studio – how to check it is fully shut down and who can book the studio.

Combined with a policy on volunteering which is due to be discussed by the DCTV committee of management this training will form a core part of our plans to offer the studio to groups and individuals across Dublin’s communities. if you want to learn more please contact us – the first course is being run this week but places are quite limited.
