If you’ve been watching DCTV on either UPC or AerTV you’ll have seen our new community reports under the brand ‘Citywide’. Every Monday in the DCTV studio the Citywide team meet and plan the weeks shoots – with a target of covering 5 stories from around the city each week. Each story is told in a short 2 to 3 minute video which is shown frequently on the station (where other stations schedule ad breaks) as well as being available online.

Members of the station are welcome to volunteer on the project. Anybody who has completed the studio operator course can come along and volunteer as long as the team is informed. Volunteering can be as little as a single shoot or for as long as you want. If you have stories to cover send an email to citywide@dctv.ie – although preference will be given to stories from volunteers on the project and then from members of the station.
