Offer to Community / Voluntary sector for supported programme making

Over the last 6 months Dublin Community Television has worked with community groups across Dublin producing studio programmes around a wide range of topics. Now you too can be part of the growing community television movement in Dublin city which is producing informative television programmes in a state of the art all digital multi-camera TV studio that is owned and operated by a non-profit members co-operative in Dublin City Centre.

Have a look at the programmes produced under our Community in a Studio project on Vimeo – everyone of these was made by volunteers from community organisations supported by DCTV. We can work with your group to produce discussion shows, promotional or training material, campaign videos or regular information resources for your clients. As well as being broadcast on DCTVs cable channel these shows can then be distributed on DVD or made available on your website.

Designed from the ground up to be cost effective and to meet the needs of the community and voluntary sector the DCTV studio uses remote control cameras and discreet technology to create a warm and relaxing environment for you to bring your staff, your board or your service users. We exist to give you full control over the production of your material – DCTV is not a service provider looking to make a video for you, rather our approach is to take the barriers away from you making your own programme.

The DCTV Studio Production package

Two planning meetings and 4 hours in the DCTV studio is generally plenty of time to make a 30 minute programme. The following rate card is based on this approach. It should be noted that we are more than happy to work with you to produce a customised budget for your organisation to support funding applications or as an additional task in your promotional campaign.

Studio Rental 4 hours €350 + VAT

(This is a fully equipped studio with 3 cameras, up to 6 radio mike, vision and audio mixers and edit suites which can produce a fully completed TV programme ready for broadcast or internet upload).

DCTV Production Support Crew 3 staff €700 + VAT

(This includes a production planner who will meet with you twice to produce the plan, a vision mixer, technical support and floor manager on your shoot day)

Programme Completion package 1 day post production €500 + VAT

(This includes a 2 hour editorial session where you review your programme and make changes as needed, authoring of a DVD and a version uploaded ready for you to embed on your website or email to your contacts list)

What else do you need?

To produce a full studio programme you will also need -

A presenter or host – generally this will be a staff member or possibly your PR.
Panel or guests – this could be service users, board members or invited experts. Some branding – we can take your logo from your website or printed material to create a title sequence and set.
