Exciting news!!! For the last year and a half Susan Jackson, who became Chairwoman of Dublin Community Television in December 2014 has been working away, producing a three part documentary series funded by the BAI’s Sound&Vision fund, entitled Ignite, showcasing the talents of artists with disabilities! Silent Moves, a film made by artists from Scannán Technologies and the Ridgepool Training Centre in Ballina, in conjunction with visual artist Aideen Barry and dance choreographer Emma O’Kane forms one of the episodes. The Silent Moves film (a love story, inspired by movies of the silent era) has been nominated by the Irish Times for its 2015 spot on their Modern Ireland in 100 Artworks poll! Currently, it’s in 2nd position and far be it from us to attempt to sway anyones opinion but if you want to make it number one, here’s how….Please follow the link, scroll down 3/4’s the way, click on the ‘Silent Moves by Aideen Barry’ tab, then click on the vote tab!
