Dear Member,
DCTV are looking for members with a proven track record in programme production to submit proposals for round 24 of Sound and Vision. This is an open round. The closing date for the Sound & Vision television programme production scheme applications to the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland is Thursday 12 noon, the 9th of July, 2015.
If you are interested in applying to this fund, then please fill out the attached programme proposal form and send it to info@dctv.ie under the heading BAI Programme Proposal. The form has been uploaded in both odt and pdf formats. Please choose the one that best suits you.
A DCTV panel, made up of DCTV members with experience in this field, will decide if the proposal has the necessary community ethos and if the applicant has the proven track record to make the programme on time and on budget. DCTV will then be in a position to give the applicant a broadcast letter. Applications will need to show real support for DCTV. Members will receive a decision from the panel on whether DCTV are in a position to provide them with the aforementioned broadcast letter, four days after they have submitted their application. This is irrespective of whether the application is made on or before the 24th of June.
DCTV will not be in a position to support the application writing but the following link to the BAI website provides guidelines and proceedures on how to fill out applications, http://www.bai.ie/index.php/funding-sectoral-support/sound-vision/
Finally please keep in mind that this will contribute to the recovery of DCTV, and we assure you that there is no question of us not continuing broadcasting.
The last round of the Sound and Vision Scheme saw an unprecedented number of applications submitted from DCTV members to the BAI and we hope to equal if not surpass this number again.
Please have the attached proposal form with us by 5pm on Thursday, the 24th of June, 2015.
Thank you for your continued support.
Regards,
The DCTV Committee.
